A school of Congo tetras along with a pair of kribs look nice. You can also add a small group of butterfly fish for the upper level of the tank as well.

I would get a reg male and a albino male... it would be cool IMO

tankmates... basically anything. Kribs aren't super aggressive unless they are breeding. You could go with other cichlids like firemouths, acaras, sevs or you could go with tropical, community fish.

if i keep kribs i would like to keep them with cichlids...... maybe some firemouths, convicts...... any idea how many?

you could probably have
5 kribs
3 firemouths
3 convicts
1-2 sevs.

that sounds like a horrible idea

3 breeding pairs most likely out of the group... it would be a war zone.

instead of Neotropical cichlids why not some Africans like Steantocranus casuarius a.k.a. buffalohead cichlid. If you're ok mixing continents, maybe a single specimen of blue acara or firemouth, but as someone said earlier, try to avoid a high number of pairs.
maybe you can try
krib- pair
congo tetra-8
buffalohead- 1 (maybe pair)
butterfly fish-2

or replace the buffalohead with a trio of upside down catfish, just make sure if you don't overstock unless you're willing to do very frequent WC's.

i had gone to the lfs to give back the oscars (they were fighting a lot and were not a breeding pair ) (the eggs were actually something else and i mistook them for eggs :grinyes: )

anyways i came back with four 5 inch terrors and 2 salvinis.....
as of now they r swimming around together and there are no fights......

here are some pics of the tank and the fish....

i dont think you should put with convicts... convicts could easily rip the kribs apart if they wanted too, i wouldnt risk it..

no convicts....

ended up putting green terrors and salvinis together.... well both the sals happen to be males and now they r fighting... added some addition caves which r helping a lot.... few pics....
