I have a bit of a problem of sorts and was looking for some guidance....

I am in the process of purchasing a used 77 gallon tank. The person I am buying it from currently has it greatly stocked with about 30 id say nearly or completely full grown african cichlids. I am buying the tank to turn it into a salt water set-up and am planning on selling off the fish. But I am not sure exactly what to ask for them when I place my ad in the paper. With them being full grown I am not sure if I should ask more than the lfs sells their baby africans for or less?? If anyone can shed some light on this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah theres a good mix of them in there. I will post exactly what they are when I get the tank here but just right off I know there are several Yellow Labs, Peacocks, Acei's, Demasoni's and bumble bee's.. all at around 5+".

our LFS sells most of the full grown cichlids for $30-40

I purchased 7 full growns from my LFS owner and he gave me a great deal at $100. Peacocks, mbuna, haps. Of course charge more for the prettier ones! I would say range $20 to $40 depending on color/availability.

If your triing to get retail price for 30 fish it could take a long time, unless you know alot of people looking for adult africans

Check some of the vendor's sites or google some of the breeders. Look at their prices and size relationships. Area demand can greatly affect that. See if their are any clubs in your general area that might give you something for comparison.
