 How much water should i be turning over in my tank?
I have a 120 G tank 52x22x24. I had the pump running full out and there was way to much water movement (imo) 950gph. so how many water changes per hour? I have 10 giant danio's in there to start. I am planing some bala sharks an a few other fishes. :)

likely doesnt matter. surface area and 02 for bacteria is more important than GPH.
as long as your tank has no ammonia or nitrites showing (after the initial cycle) and you have plenty of 02 in the water your fine.

I am not worried about the water quality but the current in the water. the danio's seemed to be huddling on one side of the tank. I heard somewhere that a tank should have 10 water changes an hour thats why i got the large pump and it is a little noisy I may want to change to a lower volum pump

try changing how you output into the main tank. instead of just one output, get a long piece of PVC and drill multiple holes in it.
that should give you less current.
Danios are stream fish and are used to high currents though...
