Good deal on Seachem Grey Coast, FW use OK?

I got a good deal on some Seachem Grey Coast substrate. Can I use this in a FW aquarium? If it does have an impact on the water chemistry, are there any FW fish that might do better with it than others (I am flexible on my stocking preferences at this point).
