i have two JackDempseys and one is dark and with dark stripes anddark eyes and the other islight colored and with not the dark stripes. and the black one bulleys the light colered one.
so is the dark one mixed with maybe a con?

I've seen tanks that are labeled Dempseys but have fish that are most likely hybrids of demps and Texas. Do you have a picture of your fish?

i think your right becasuue they were in diff. tanks and not lebled jacks but with others.

the middle one si the darker one but hes gotton alot more black and the stripes are dark black

Yours are all normal jacks, but juvies tend to stay lighter until they're older.
But even adults can flush out their color when stressed out.
As far as other strains, there are gold JDs and blue JD's

looks like your middle pic may be a girl man...dont take my word for that tho but the blue on the face makes it look female to me. but yes those are regular jd's

now i see some eggs on a rock and they have changed colors and have grown. there about the same size and now about the same colors.
ill get some pics tommarow and another thing is there is no agression
