Thought I would upload a few pics of my setup.

This is my home made cabinet. I was sick of seeing the same basic cabinets at all the stores so I took the plunge and made my own cabinet to suit my 55G tank.

I ended up paying the same amount at the shops however, i got the design I wanted plus around $400AU worth of tools to use in future projects, and of course a much better quality product in my eyes anyways. The whole cost for materials was about $380.

I have an eheim 2213 canister with hydor inline heater and am in the process of doing a fishy cycle to setup a malawi cichlid tank. I bought some black rock (fake) for the cichlids any suggestions on fake plants or anything else for that matter would be appreciated.

that cab looks antique, not sure if it is, but look nice. Love that detail on the top and around doors.

Awesome. I like all the detail that was added to the stand.

As for decor, rocks seem to be the standard in malawi tanks with occasional plants.

Looks real nice! A canopy to match the bottom detail would really set it off! You would have to raise the pictures up a bit behind the tank. Good job!
