View Full Version : What has happened to my O???
Ok guys its been in its new home for about a week now ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5 ppm. its real sluggish and its almost as if its left gill isn't working or something his right side is puffing up alot and the left isn't hardly moving :confused: Right now as I type this its kinda swimming slowly around the tank definatly not acting like itself. what could be wrong????

ok im assuming you have your O in the 55g in your signature.
what kind of filtration are you using?
whats the water temp?
it could be that he is not gettin enough oxygen if you dont have adequate filtration/aireation.
I put him in quarantine and he's been in there for only a half hour and he's back to normal. So im assuming its aeration too, I have an emperor 400 and a penguin mini on there for filtration and thats the only aeration it has too. So I'll get an aerator

you may jsut need something to break the water surface and move the water around or you could jsut get an air pump and air stone.
I've got the air rock and air pump running on it now. Im gonna give the oscar a few and put it back in :)
