I dont think he killied his family.

I think maybe it could have been carbon monoxide or some other poison

Yeah okay... They don't just post all over network news that somebody killed their family because of carbon monoxide poisoning. He probably got hit in the head one too many times and lost it.

The sad part is that the only people who know the truth are dead. Anyone else's opinion is speculation at best.

Can we not speculate or assume about a person's death or how they died please, as a family forum is no place to be discussing such things. We have young children on here, many of whom may be very big WWE/WWF fans. Have a little empathy with other members here please..

Actually Chris was born in Montreal, Quebec not Alberta

Yes, where he spent less than a decade before coming to Alberta, where he spent the next 20 years....and learned to wrestle. No matter, he is no longer anyone I want associated with my province.

I thoguht this was pretty interesting:

Web Time Stamps Indicate Nancy Benoit's Death Reported on Web at Least 13 Hours Before Police Found Bodies in Her Home (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,287194,00.html)

pretty much all the public and the WWE are retracting most of their good words about benoit.

now that the detais have come out and it is known that he deliberately and carefully killed his wife and 7 year old son, I can understand why..*******..:(

Great wrestler but I despise him for being a murderer.

I understand why several people are upset. Please remember we do not know what happened and whether he was stable at the time. I am not condoning what took place, but keep in mind that it is a tragedy. Not just for the public, this is ripping through Chris and Nancy's families.

Was he back stage and then came out to greet the crowd after the event (or perhaps before)? As far as I know, Benoit did not have a match at Wrestlemania 18, unless it was a dark match.

I was also very shocked to learn about what happened. Shocked first when I watched Raw and found out they died, and then shocked even more when they said what happened. He was one of my favorites as well.

maybe I am getting my events double crossed.

I saw Hogan vs Rock at Skydome in toronto.

I thought Benoit was there, but I might have seen him at RAW at the Air Canada Center instead.

I have been to quite a few shows over the years. I have always loved wrestling :)

I think that may be the case. During the entrance in his Wrestlemania 19 match, one of the announcers talks about how he wasn't at Wrestlemania the year before.

What pay per views have you been to? I have never been to anything but house shows. They just don't have anything else in my area. I was satisfied with the two I went to though. I got to see my favorite wrestler (Kane, when he still had the mask), and my favorite diva (Trish) at the time, so I was happy.

I have been to wrestlemania 6 and 18.

I have been to two RAW live events at the AC

I have been to many shows back in the late 80's and early 90's (during the Ultimate Warrior intercontental run) in toronto and a few house shows where Hulk Main evented.

there was a dark 6 man tag match at wrestlemania 18 that I thought benoit was in, but he wasn't. It was Albert, Scotty 2 Hotty, Mr. Perfect and some others..

the last show I was at live was in 2004 though..a non televised house show at the Air Canada Center if I recall.

It was back when Mohamed Haussan was around..
