I have some wonderful angels too, i love them. They have gotten so much bigger and absolutly pretty since i put them in a planted tank. When I bought them they were small and not colored up like they are now! They are like puppies, always begging for food and attention! They really like it when i put my hand on the glass, they come over and visit with me.

I love convict cichlid!! they are really fun to watch and they breed like crazy and are very easy to take care of but they can be REALLY mean and terrorize other cichlids

the best thing about cichlids is that they all have unique personalities

My LFS has a pair of really nice texas cichlids that I have been eyeing, I wonder what would the tank size have to be for them to be comfy, just the two of them?

Texas get quite large, IMO, a 65 would be the smallest I'd put a pair into. As for favoutites, I love firemouths and fetaes. Both for their bright colours and for their personalities, they do LOVE their food person to bits. I get a lot of enjoyment out of my Dovii and visitors love the malawi tank.

I would love to see that Malawi tank. I love to look at everyones tanks! I have anouther pic of my resue baby whom I have dubbed Milo and his tank. I like the owner of the fish store we go to , we're on first name basis, but he had this guy in a 10g with some smaller cichlids, he had no lights and the tank did'nt look to good. My husband and I are going this saturday to volunteer some time to him to help clean up and talk with customers. I guess we just decided that insteed of complaining we would do something to help out. But I did have to resue this " diamond in the rough"! The first pic was the first day we had him, he was hiding a lot, the second pic is today, where he is "begging" for food and playing! And one more better shot of him! Thanks for letting me show him off!

I've seen something like that in anouther tank, I was thinking about looking to see if there is any like fake fireplace stuff that look about the same or something like that, that would have the same effect. Anybody got idea's about that?
