I have a big standing water pond out front my house, and these toads come and breed in it after it rains and lay 123097123908172301 eggs. The question is, is there anyfish that i can get or something that will eat the eggs before they hatch. When the hatch the babies croak all night long and thier loud as hell and its impossible to get any sleep.

There is also many comet goldfish, black mollies, koi, and an angelicus cat fish in there so oscars are out of the question. Any suggestions? TIA!

Really nothing (some toad eggs and tads are toxic, so finding anything that could eat them would be a trick...perhaps some salamander larvae), and I cannot imagine why you would want to...I could only wish for your pond O' toads.

my pond is about 5 foot outside my bedroom windows, and a morning after rain, the entire pond is skimmed with toad eggs, its nearly impossible to sleep. when the breed at night its SO loud. it would be cool if it was deep in my backyard tho.

One other thing. Its a Concrete pond and not that deep on one end, I really wanna get some plants that will make some shade for the fish. I dont see how any plants will root tho, Ive got some Papryus growing now. and a palm tree in a pot that seems to do well (threw it in there months ago cuz it almost died.) But theres not really a bottom to the pond except a large amount of dark green slime/muck but not thick enough to hold roots.

Any suggestions?

well my red eared slider ate tadpoles.. but I think most aquatic turtles will.
not sure though.

the guy at the local nature center told me that both red eared sliders (or painted turtles) and snappers eat the tadpoles...I assume you don't want a snapper in the back yard, so maybe try one of the other two. I would image the turtle would stay as long as there's not a bigger and better pond close by.

The RES will also try to eat your fish so be prepared for that likelihood also.

The painted turtles would prolly try to eat your black mollies, I've seen them a good size around here, but I'd say 14" is their max, 8" their minimum...

I'd love to have that many toads. You could bag up half the eggs and send them over here if you want :D
