I feel like a genius! Although its most likely either a. An awful idea or b. Has been known about since 1956. I went to the local Asian food market and bought a 12 oz bag of fresh frozen seafood. Its made by Assi and contains; Squid, Cuttefish (Cuttlefish??), octopus, cooked Mussel, Scallop and shrimp. It was $3.29 and looks like it would be able to feed my fish for a very long time. Was this a good idea? or just an already used one. I separated them into jars and threw them in the freezer. I just take a little out, chop off some various pieces and feed. The store also sold Dried Kelp and seaweed for human consumption. Something like 3 bucks for 16oz. Would that work? I made sure that it is pure, no additives or preservatives. I know these aren't enhanced so i am only using it is a supplemental food. Thoughts?

Dried (not toasted) seaweed (aka nori) is a common substitute for the marketed seaweed targeted for aquarium use.

Many aquarists make their own fish food by blending together a medley of seafood. Most of the seafood you listed is pretty common in the recipes I've seen, except for cuttlefish.

Not to crap in your cereal but check this out: http://www.melevsreef.com/food.html

Nevertheless, you came up with the idea on your own without seeing this site prior, so Good for you!!! If not for this forum and that website I might have stuck with just buying a bunch of prepared frozen food. :)

Good on you for finding out on your own.

Thanks for the links guys! No I love Asian food and have wondered in and out of one or another since middle school. Once i started SW i realized that that bag i was buying for my noodles would work great for my little fish buddy's. I'll check out those links and i think using a food processor is an awesome Idea. Thanks!
