Yesterday I got my light retrofit kit 55 watts on 20 gal. With an other strip light at 15 watts, I now have 70 watts. Man this light is brite. But this morning when I went to feed the guppies they wouldnt eat. Not even blood worms. I have NEVER had them not eat. They always go nuts over bloodworms. Could this much light be stressing them? Something is going on I just found 2 dead ones. Im going to do a large water change. I wonder could it be lack of o2. I do have a co2 . Well I will change the water and do all the tests I can. Tim

Im no expert on lighting, but I have 20W on a 5gal with guppies and they are fine, and if you scaled that lighting to your tank size it would be 60W. Im inclined to think it is something completely unrelated, and alot of new lights seem very bright when first set up.

Keep the lights off for acouple of days and see what happens...if everything starts going well again, then its probably the lights (or a big coincidence), but if it doesnt get any better then it will most likely be something unrelated.

Posting this in the plants forum might get someone with some idea of lighting to have a look at it.

Sorry I couldnt help more, but hope what I have put does help,
Thom.
