Check out Foster and Smith online, $21.99/ 20lb bag. Shipping is very cheap if you are ordering 4 or more bags, you may be surprised.
I don't know about shipping to Canada though...

You don't have to order 4 or more bags to get cheap shipping from DrsFosterandSmith. They do have the cheapest shipping though. I checked at least 6 or more places when I ordered mine earlier this month.

Guess I didn't say that right, you save even more when ordering in larger quaintly.
I don't know how they can ship for what they charge on substrate.

International shipping charges are a killer! Remember it is crossing the border... he will have to pay duties, GST and other fees

the only saving grace on all of that right now is that exchange is pretty decent right now... trading about 1CAD = 0.93USD

Aquarium Plants is the only plant company that ships within canada as they have a location in the Praries

I dunno about better than Eco. Its the same thing as soilmaster select.

I think there is more to it than just exchange rate... BigAls US is $17.99 for Eco, but BigAls Canada its $34.99.
