I'm getting a 5-gallon MiniBow aquarium and I'm having a hard time deciding if I should plant it or not. I'm a college student and I might have to leave my setup to someone else for about 2 months during the summer (unless I decide to tear it all down and hope everyone survives the 2,000 mile drive home). I already found a CF, but I think I'm going to have to find lowlight plants (it's only 11W).

The reason why I want to plant is because I'm going to be keeping some African Dwarf Frogs, I don't want them to get cut or try to eat fake plants...

...Do you guys have any suggestions for a lowlight covering for such a small (and short) tank? Also some mid-level and background plant ideas would be great!

Anubias nana "petites" will do very well in low light, requires no maintenance and fits the tank perfectly.

I think I was able to grow banana plants and watersprite in my low light tanks while I was in college.

Get a Coralife 10W 6700K screw in compact fluorescent bulb to replace the junk bulb that comes w/ the Mini-Bow. They're excellent for growing low and some medium light plants.
