definitely a bala shark, expect at least 10" minimum.

I'm sure it is, and they get 14-18 inches, and will eat anything that fits in their mouths, and lots of it. 125g+ with schools of 3 or more, seeing as they're very social (to things that won't fit in their mouths).

yep, thats a bala. they get to over 14 inches long, are schooling fish, and are super active, which calls for a giant tank.

That is for sure a bala and will grow in the proper conditions to 14-16 inches in a relatively short amount of time. They need to be in groups so they play better that way. Because of their rapid growth rate, their need to be in groups and how active they are they require a fairly large aquarium of at least 100 gallons or more.

jeez, anouther petco blunder, they never warned me about how big they get and my bad, i didnt do my homework before i bought them. we got them when we were just getting started. there are three of them in a 55. right now they are only about 3" so maybe i have some time to get a bigger tank

Doubt seriously they'll get past 10" even in 100g+ They only get 14-18" in the wild.

yes you have time it takes them a few years. but with any fish if you give them good food and a clean tank they can grow fast.
