let's play i.d. the corals

Green star polyps, xenia, clove polyps and a leather.

first picture looks to be a patch of "green" star polyps. they will most likely turn a really nice green with a purple mat.
the second looks to be xenia
the third is clove polyps
and the 4th is defiantly some type of leather. perhaps a finger leather? it is hard to tell when it is in pieces and closed. maybe even sinularia flexabilis (i cant spell...)

in the first one i'm intersted in that brown one. that xenia looking pollyp doesn't look like it, something like fake xenia. and the leather is hard as a rock and it doesn't open more then that.

hmm... perhaps the "leather" is actualy a blue ridge coral then? it's a possibility. could you get a better pick of it?
and yeah, the brown things in the first pic looks like it coudl be GSP, or perhaps the metalic version, cause they are usualy thinner. but you could also be anthillia sp. ive seen a lot of times when it growns the polyps remin small for along time before growing out. coudl you please get a closer pic?

i'm having a hard time to get a better pic on coral #4, but here is another one for the first one

ID5.jpg

The first one looks like a type of anthelia.
The second appears to be Xenia elongata.
The third is some sort of clove polyps.
The fourth one I'm not familiar with if it's not some type of leather.

can #4 be montipora? the #3 is anthenia? that xenia looking thing is probably xenia that is in very poor shape, i'm just surpriced it's not dead yet.

1. Briareum spp.
2. Xenia spp.
3. Clavulariid species (some sort of "clove polyp")
4. Heliopora coerulea aka blue ridge coral
