i have a jewel tank and they have the internal filter built onto the inside back left hand corner, with silicone i think......has anybody experience removing this? i tried by hand just pulling it, then a stanly knife, but no such luck, i have 14 hours to do it, then the tank is being moved and refilled, so any help ASAP would be much appreciated. thanks
Hiya, i did this just recently, it is possible but needs a gentle hand and a bit of patience. Find the longest kitchen knife you have and gently wedge it between the glass and the filter and gently dig away at the black silicone glue blobs, for each one you release it gets easier! Good luck!
