Neither my wife nor I know anything about photography, but I wanted to get some pictures posted anyway. I'm new to this great hobby and couldn't get anything to grow for two months, but now I trim and remove excess growth weekly. I sure appreciate the help I've gotten from Aquaria Central members replying to all of my questions. There is also a lot to learn from the responses to others' questions. Wish I knew the name of the delicate, lacelike plant in the right front corner; I recently replanted cuttings from it in the left rear corner. When that area fills in the tank should look more balanced. Tackful

Great tank!
I'm not sure what plants you are referring to specifically when you say "lace-like plant" but I see two plants in the areas you are talking about. One is water wisteria and the other looks to be parrot's feather or some type of myriophyllum.

Thanks for the reply, and after following up on the link, yes, it does seem to be a Parrot's Feather, although it does look a little like a cabomba. Replants very nicely. Thanks, Tackful

Hey great job, very nice tank and your photos are fine. Practice, trial, and error are all great ways to get better at photography and digital film is very cheap :-P
Great work, looks nice and peaceful :)

whats the stock?
In order of appearance: 4 Glowlight tetras, 4 Rummynose, 6 Porkchop (harlequin) Rasboras, 6 Priscilla or X-Ray Tetras, 4 more Glowlights, then finally 2 SAE's which doubled in size in 3 weeks. Along the way I had some misadventures with Serpae, and, I think, Silvertip Tetras, all of which I had to remove to preserve the tails of my Glowlights intact. Tackful

Sorry, missed the question on the first response. The tall ones in the right back are wisteria, but I'm not sure of the front. Foxtail or hornwort or cabomba, perhaps? Anyone? Maybe a close-up pic might be helpful.

I'm pretty positive that it's parrot's feather, even with the really blurry pic. http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/wq/plants/weeds/aqua003.html
That pic shows the leaves of the plant pretty well, tackful. The leave shape is pretty hard to miss. It's either parrot's feather or a myrio, definately not cambomba or hornwort. But a close-up pic would be nice.
And here's on from the PlantGeek site: http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_viewer.php?id=168
This is exactly what yours looks like to me: http://www.plantgeek.net/images/plantpics/parrotsfeatherstand.jpg
