Have male Flowerhorn (8-9) inches with wife and mom Red Parrot. She keeps pushing him away from brood, hatched 2 days ago.

Should he be removed? Should she be removed from tank. There are no other in tank.

Also he does acrobatics, like somersaults and suspending himself upside down. He is perfectly healthy - is this some mating dance?

how big of a tank is it ? Can you put a divider in ?

the acrobatics sound a bit mental to be honest, but then I've never had a flowerhorn. I hope it doesn't look anything like a swim bladder disorder.

Coler,

55 gallon and I have other tanks to move to if necessary. He's not aggressive, especially for a Flowerhorn. He's kind of gentle and acrobatics seem perfectly healthy.

if she doesnt want him near the eggs, then it is time to put in a divider. blood parrots can be really peacful or super aggressive.

yeah I'd put a divider in - or move him if you have space; he's probably annoying her and himself.
