At the pet store where I got my cons I was told that I could feed them hamburg is that true? and if so should it be cooked with no seasonings or raw?

there are many, much helathier choices. most will acctually recommend against it.
at most LFS's there will be a huge variety of cichlid pellets that will be better for them

Beef is very high in fat, even the good stuff, so you should really use a good quality cichlid pellet to give them the nutrients they need.

yeah I agree as well...can't see why you would feed them hamburger when there are better options
Hamburger patties may have lots of preservatives. This is the first time I heard of an lfs suggesting hamburgers for the fish.:laugh:

Yeah, me, too...never in my wildest dreams would I feed cons Hamburger...maybe feeding pirahnas hamburger but cons...nay...pellets and hikari flakes and veggie flakes...like everyone else said...
