one of my coworkers just asked me if i would take her 50 gal tank off her hands, complete with every thing related that she has, I don't know what kind of shape it is in but it was free.

Now... What to do with it??

First off, give it a good cleaning if really messy and then go from there...hope it really isn't too bad....post some pix as soon as ya get it....:)

and make sure ya wash everything that comes with it (except the fish, if there are any) very carefully...and then ya can start with the fishless cycle, and continue from there....but the filtration (if any) rinse carefully as to not lose any bacterial media...and then so on.....good luck...and keep us posted as to the outcome of the awaiting FREE tank....and nothing wrong with getting things for free...especially fishie tanks....:)

and after is all said and done, then go with some dwarf cichlids or angels or community fishies...German Blue Rams would be great.....

I don't know where I am even going to put it. boy it didn't take me long to get MTS
guess I will have to get rid of the kitchen table and put it in the kitchen, That sounds reasonable.. Right?

Now that is an idea...or just put all the furniture in the living room in the garage and really go crazy on tanks...or unless ya can just rearrange the furniture in the living room or kitchen or dining room to give you an empty wall to fit a 38 inch long tank....Yeah, if ya have room in the kitchen go for it.....:)

here are the dimensions if ya dont already have them...then you can start measuring your walls in the kitchen and get an idea on where to put it...
36 7/8 x 19 x 19 5/8

Thanks for the dimensions, that will help. I am almost positive that this tank has been empty for a while so I imagine it is a mess. Ill have to fill it up and make sure it doesn't leak. I already have two tanks in the family room I guess it is time to start taking over the kitchen and maybe the dining room :)

I just got the okay from the rest of the family to convert one of the rooms in the basement into a fish room, yippee, now I guess I'll have to talk someone into doing it for me (and paying for it to) any takers??
