My 20 long is looking pretty bare today. All I have in there are the two rams, one cory, one bn pleco and two ghost shrimp. I was thinking of getting some kind of schooling fish and getting more cories. I want some kind of school that can handle themselves when the rams are spawning.

Just about any tetra would be fine - just pick one you like - they'll school and get out of the way of your rams. Also, I'd pick up a couple more corys so your one isn't lonely - they'll add activity to the tank as well.

With a school of tetras and some more corys - sounds like you'll have a great tank.

I completely agree. I'd add the corys, and then wait a week and add the tetras. You don't want to add fish too fast. :)

Good point severum mama about not adding all the fish at once - don't need to force a mini-cycle on the tank.

go with neons or cardinals

Neons or cardinals are great options! Or, if you're looking for something a little less common, then I would recommend rummynose (difficult to acclimate, expect losses), green fire, or black neon tetras. Glowlights are nice too, and easier to keep than either neons, cardinals, or rummys. Stick with a smaller species.:)
