Im certinally no cichlid so this will probally be wrong, but looks a bit like a electric yellow ? or a lemon somthingorother :S

I snapped this pic at the LFS but this little guy is the same as what's in my tank only bigger. The dumb label only says "Assorted Cichlids"...that does nothing for me...

Looks like a female Pseudotropheus estherae (red zebra cichlid) to me.

lol dad you only know this cuz looks just like my red zebras,
yes it is a red zebra mbuna malawi
also you shouldnt keep it with the convicts... not supposed to mix african and CA/SA but it should be ok temperarilly

they look pretty similar to me
the problem with "assorted cichlids" labels...

There's also a probability that it is a hybrid, as many of the "assorteds" are.

Mixing is not a bad thing. Ive mixed for years with temendous success. My africans just stay out of my Devil and my Jacks way but their is never any agression between them. The africans are probably well aware that is not a can of worms they would like to open:)
female red zebra, as already said, imo. I don't know what it is that anyone is saying shows its a hybrid...doesn't look like one to me.
couldn't agree that stocking rift lake africans with SA cichlids is a good idea.
