Today I moved all my fish from a 125 to a 180gal, I move the filters, heaters, and sand,
My question I am going to use the 125gal for a fry tank, so I left some of the sand in the tank and have covered it with water, theres is about 4" of water left in the 125, I didn't have time to set the 125 up, so will the sand in the 125 be ok until tomorrow?

would an airstone be good also in the 125, until it is fully equipped again...aeration for the already established bacteria...just a thought..:)

and btw, if I was a fry I would really like to live in a 125....all that open space....yyyyyeeeehhhhaaa...:)

i don't think you would need to worry about cycling the 125 for fry. . . unless you put about 2000 fry in there at once. their bioload will be absolutely tiny in that large amount of water, and the bacterial colonies will be able to grow as the fry grow.
