Cool! I'd expect they'll spawn sooner than you think but you can't distribute the fry.

ive only have them for 2weeks.. or less.. :grinyes: i wake up everyday at 7am , for school and always see them playing in the moss :headbang2: is this because they spawn in the morning? pretty cool seeing them squeezing themselves thru the moss.. :grinyes:

owh, i had to wake up 7am(saturday :perv:) to record the scene!!

Great video.

I saw some at the LFS but the colors didn't look natural. Are they dyed or are these the fish I read are genetically enhanced with jellyfish dna?

i believe its glofish:florescent red zebra danio. but i got them from my LFS for (malaysia)RM1 per fish.. its like 1 US dollars for Americans..

its so cheap, i dun think its genetically modified..

I think they're dyed. I saw some recently at an LFS and they were labeled "Starburst Danios". They also had bright green with some other name attached.

nope, the red ones are geneticly modified too. they come in purple, red, yellow, green, and sometimes blue. those have coral DNA in them i believe

Really? The ones I saw didn't really "glow", they were just very bright colors. Thanks JM!

Supposedly you need a UV blacklight to make them truly glow...I'm not certain of this however since I don't own any.

That is what the website dedicated to glofish said. They don't glow unless blacklight is used.
www.glofish.com

Nighttime Viewing – In cases where the room is completely dark, a black light will create the appearance that the fish are glowing in the dark. This is a truly stunning and beautiful way to display your GloFish® fluorescent fish at night! But please remember that the black light will only be helpful in a completely dark room. Using a black light during the daytime will not result in the fish demonstrating their true magnificence. An actinic (blue wavelength) light in a completely dark room will also look great.
