My friend has acustom tak he got from this guy for free its 100 gallons and acrylic. On the back part it has 2 slots they are both 12 inches wide and prbably 4 or so inces deep i want to know what kind of filtration will fit in these slots. Thinking a canister for sure will fit. But wanted a bio-wheel or power filter also.
any ideas?

Sounds to me like those were originally used for an over-flow. I'd use a couple of canister filters for a tank that big.
Question: Why did you post this here instead of in the General Freshwater Products & DIY forum? Just asking, i've seen a lot of people asking about tank equipment here and I thought those questions were for that forum. I dunno.

LOL fair enough :D
Nice tank BTW. I'd hate to have to foot the bill to buy it new. You could use a BIO wheel, HOB, canister... really it's up to your friend. I'd think about a BIO wheel + canister. If it's going to be a freshwater tank that is. It really depends on a lot of factors... is it going to be planted? What kind of fish etc. IMO though a good BIO wheel & canister would give you excellent filtration.

Yes freshwater, It will have fake plants.
I was thinking Canister and bio-wheel was even hoping the Emporer 400 but i highly dought that thing will fit in that slot.
Forgot to mention what Canister? Will a Fluval 304 or 404 work?
