Does anyone have an Odyssea with a built in filter in the hood? Is it quite, does it do a good job filtering the water?

i dont think any filter that comes with a tank in a kit or pre built is good. it can do a ok job but they always over rate there filters.

Have one - couldnt stand it (45g bowfront Odyssea). Its noisey and not all that good of a filter IMO. But it was the noise that finally caused me to do something about it since its in my bedroom. I put in an Eheim canister. Dead silent and much better filtration. I did have to do a lot of cutting to get the canister plumbing to fit though - permanently ruining the built in filtration. Although with some extra diy work it may have been possible to plumb it without ruining it. The fans are noisey in the hood also, but they arent on while I'm trying to sleep. The tank looks great though, curved glass, no front corner seams...
