well, after getting my first coral i thought it would be time to post my experiences with my Marine Aquaria.
first off some info about my tank:

(water is kinda cloudy just moved some rock around)
30 Us Gallons
55.5 #'s of Live rock
20 #'s of crushed aggronite subrate
Casade 300 HOB filter (for flow, no media running) @ 300gph
Some powerhead (i forget the name) @ 270 gph
replaced the heater in the pic with a more reliable submersible one
Coralife 10k T5 fixture with antics
the powerhead and heater are backed up on a UPS which gives me about 3 hours run time
Todays tests:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-15-20
PH-8.2
SG-1.0245
Total alkaninity-240
Temp-78 F
Livestock:
1 Halloween Hermit
1 strawberry snail
1 american star snail
4 scarlet hermits
2 colonys of zoanthids (i think, if somone could ID them it would be great)

also got tons of pods and other little bug and snails running around.
for fish i plan to get a firefish and perhaps another small fish, one day i want to own a mandarin goby.
to tell you the truth there were times when i just about threw my tank out the window, but all in all i love this hobbie, my dad on the other hand does not like seeing my room in this condition:

but all i have to do is try and explain the nitrogen cycle to him and he usually
leaves me alone :P
i just want to thank everyone for all thier help and to thank you all now for the help im sure ill need in the future ;)
