would brine shrimp make any difference in tank cycling?

If brine shrimp or the sea monkeys were added to a uncycled tank would it help or hurt starting up a cycle?

I guess they would add a little ammonia when they die and start to decay.

they would just die. the amount of ammonia would be too little to really do much, since they are so tiny.
