Has anyone tried out the aquariumplants best regulator:

http://www.aquariumplants.com/AQUARIUMPLANTS_com_s_Co2_Regulator_The_BEST_p/co2-1.htm

It's $149 which is quite a bit more than the ~$90 you would shell out for a Milwaukee or JBJ. I've seen quite a bit of debate about those products on here. Is this a case of "you get what you pay for"?

Does anyone have any first hand exerience with the aquariumplants regulator?

I had the same delemna when I ordered my regulator from them. I decided to go with the Milwaukee regulator and pH controller for about the same price as the "best regulator" and have not been disapointed. I was also quite happy with the plants that I ordered from them.

The other thing that's keeping me from pulling the trigger is negative feedback I've seen regarding the service from that site.

You've had good luck with the Milwaukee though? How long have you had it? I've seen complaints about the reliability of those. (Along with people who say they've used them for years.)

I have had the regulator and controller since Jan 07 and have had no issues as of yet. I had no proplems with service from them at all. I actually thought that they did a great job. Plants arrived in good condition considering it was January in Ontario. They arrived on time and updated me with delivery date and tracking order. This is my own experience and obviously somewhere along the line someone will not have the same experience I had with them. The one reason I did use them is because they carry a lot of plants and I couldn't find many places in Canada carry a good assortment of plants for online ordering.

I have the milwaukee as well and so far so good. You can find them on ebay for around 78+shipping. I actually watched for a while and found one from a petstore that was liquidating and paid only 74 shipped.

know a couple people with them. one good thing about the best regulator.

we are confident enough

to "guarantee" that you won't find a better quality, more precise, longer warranty Co2 regulator/solenoid/needle valve on the

planet. We are so confident as to the unsurpassed quality of this regulator, that we are backing it up with an unrivaled (bumper

to bumper) 3 year FULL warranty!

thats really nice. rex also makes a good one also.

That doesn't seem very cool Mgamer for a moderator to put up comments from another forum about a company. Why don't you then also put up all the negative comments about Aquadise from plantedtank.net and aquaticplantcentral as there are tons of them.

Rex Grigg has has a good regulator, I got one too.

JBJ has a check valve. Milwaukee does not. Both are made in China. Both only have a six month warranty. Both have had service problems in the past. Both have a very simple, low quality needle valve. Rex's, Aquarium Plants, and mine are made with high quality American componants and assembled to order. That is the major differences.

I would just like to pop in here and say that I have ordered from Aquariumplants.com three times and have never been disappointed. Also I have received nothing but the highest quality customer service. I'll even give you a good example.

The last time I ordered was just before a holiday weekend. Shortly after completing my order online I received a phone call asking if I would prefer to wait to have the plants shipped after the holiday (because all post is delayed by a day) or if I would prefer to have my order expedited and shipped overnight at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Obviously I chose to wait.

... JUST KIDDING! My plants arrived that Saturday. The only hassle I received was from the post office who didn't deliver because we weren't home when in fact we were.

Also I like the fact that they are based in South Dakota and not Florida. Not that Florida is a bad State. But the number of scams coming out of there are just appalling. I trust these South Dakota'ns a little more, you know?
