I'm going to a fish specialty store today wich i know have a lot of fish. I have to return 2 cichlids i had in my 20g tank because someone said they need to be in a group of 3 or more and 50g tank. Ok, so i want to get fish that are fun to watch, something other than livebearers. Fish that will entertain you and not just those who sit there msot of the time. Please help me.

Dwarf gourami, betta (females are more compatible with other species), German blue rams or apistogrammas (can be difficult to keep), platies- I know you said no livebearers, but mine are very interesting to watch.

yes i think a dwarf gourami would be a nice fish to have. I see a lot of people have them and look very pretty.

get some apistos. They are pretty much dwarf cichlids, and that's what you wanted in the first place.

Apistos are great, but something a little less delicate could be a pair of dwarf acaras like the Curviceps.

Even though they are a bit delicate, you can get a pair of German Blue Rams. Tetras and danios are very active and will be entertaining.
