i have a heater called visitherm and seems like when i pass 75 degrees (F)
it works like the light switches on and it heats up quick but then if i put it like lower than 75 the light will switch off and when i touch the heater seems like its not hot at all...is it broken?

The numbers on the heater are not necessarily the temp, the light comes on when the water temp lowers in relation to the setting on the heater, adjust the heater to regulate the water temp you want and leave it, if you think something is wrong return it.........:)

A digital or glass type therms seem to be more accurate than the stick on kind, just FYI.......:)

Yeah. I've had stealths that run a couple degrees hotter than the temp dial indicates, but it's constant, so a little bit of tinkering and I've got the temp I want.

the first all glass heater i had heated the water to 87º on the lowest setting, and the new one i have (from the warrantee) heats the water to 78º and i have it on 72º

Perhaps your room temperature is 78, therefore even though your heater is set to 72 it can only heat the water not cool it .. maybe??

I have a Stealth and I have to keep it set at 75 to keep the tank at 81. This is my second stealth. The first one just quit working altogether...
I use a Checktemp digital thermometer. They are supposed to be accurate to +-.5 degrees
