Hello All,
I joined this site to possibly learn how to help a fish out.

I have a Betta, I aquired from a friend at work, who said he was to grusome to look at, so she wanted to get rid of him. I felt badly and took him home w/ me. He seems pretty perky to me, the only noticeable problem is the large black grey white blue thing growing on his side. The tank he was in was flithy, and full of alge. She insists that he came with a small spot, and that the spot has just grown larger over the last year. I put him in a clean tank, 100% clean water, and have been using the Betta Fix Remedy for 5 days. He eats, makes bubble nests, swims around fine, I see no other problems.

I have 2 other Bettas, they seem normal and healthy, I have had them a year, I am very new to this. Any help I can get would be wonderful!
Thank you!

Does it seem fluffy at all?
If not I would believe it to be a tumour also. Just be sure to keep his water clean. There really is nothing you can do. Just be sure he is happy and not stuggling to swim or eat I would leave him be. However if you see him struggling then you may consider putting him down eventually.

Best of luck!!
