can you help me with API kH/gH results?

I got a hardness test kit today, and just tested my 10 gallon tank.

it took 7 drops of kH solution to turn the color yellow
it took 8 drops of gH solution to turn the color green

the chart on the flyer doesn't click with me. am I supposed to divide one by the other? The instructions say to compare, but then the chart has 3 columns,

# drops - ºdkH - ppm KH/GH

any help here would be appreciated.

so then, my kH would be 125.3 and my gH would be 143.2... ? that would give me a range of 100-200ppm... I'm assuming this is ok for fish, is that ok for plants too?
