my three angels(2 female 1 male) spawned a few days ago, now all three are attacking my 4th angel and have ripped his fins and bit his eye hard enough that it has a small chunk missing on it.
Is there any way I can put the fry in a different tank without hurting/killing them?

the bullied angel must be remove straight away

this is very normal for angels

I haven't got anywhere to put him, exept a none heated ten gal, and he's not a small angel.

could I put them in a breeder net?? they are about 7-8 hours old.

it would do as a temp until you can organise something else

Usually from the point that the eggs were laid it takes about 7 days for the wigglers to free swim. You said you had a spare ten gallon tank, do you also have a spare heater. If it was me I would remove the wigglers to the ten gallon tank and raise them artificially. Just make sure to use the tank water that the fish are in now for the ten gallon. Then use the heater to match your current tanks temp. You would also need an aged sponge filter as well. I have been artifically raising angel's for a couple of years now, in fact I have over 200 from one pair of angle's that are about 7 weeks old. Also, one other thing I forgot to mention, you also need to hatch baby brine shrimp for their food. IMO this is the only food source that will keep them alive. Hope this helps.

I can't, my parents won't go to the store(it's storming).
BTW, my friend is giving me the breeder net.
the soonest I can pick a heater and sponge filter up will be tomorrow afternoon when I'm done babysitting some dogs.

I had to read this twice but the info is pretty good.
use water from the parent tank and remove the fry(easier if they are free swimming but you can move wigglers too.)
add sponge (seeded) filter and heater..bbs is a great source and angels love the stuff.(especially babies)

you think its easier if the fry are free swiimming, then u got it all wrong, unless the wrigglers are in a hard to reach place

I didn't get the net last night, it had holes all over it and on the bottom..it was "brand new" according to her.
And my mom wont let me set up the ten gal..the only thing I can do is get a breeder net.I guess when they are big enough they can go into my snail tank(if they live that long).

all three parents are doing a great job of taking care of them.

btw, when should I start feeding them?

I think that most fry need to be fed when they become free swimming, or a day or two after. Basically look for the yolk sack to disappear. No more yolk means they are ready for another food source.

they've still got some of their yolk sac, I had planned on feeding them tomorrow of the day after.

When do they start looking like angels? If they are anything like bettas it should be in about a month/month-and-a-half right?

my first angel fry lol :D

actually I prefer to let the parents keep the wigglers till they are free swimming.
they seem to do a fine job of that.
I find it's easier to raise the free swimmers(except for he wilds)

also I fond that early in themorning(I'm an early riser) the freeswimmers are planted to structures just like wigglers.

I am on my second batch of fry now, and can confirm that when the fry are free swimming, they are rounded up by the parents and put onto structures. This is really cute!! I have used freeze dried BBS and frozen BBS both to great success. I had to resort to this after I had no success with raising BBS at all! My first batch of fry all look like angels now, are just over 6 weeks old. The second batch wasn't such a great success as I had around 50 decent eggs turn into wrigglers. The first batch I got about 200+ survivors all growing extremely fast! I was very paranoid about not having live BBS as everything I read said I would not get a decent mortality rate with anything else, but, with dried and frozen, it seems to be just as good. Good luck with your babies!

i want to breed angels one day, is it hard?

Like UFC-Planted stated normally start feeding the baby brine shrimp when free swimming or a day or so after. They feed on the yolk sac, so once you see that the yolk sac is gone start feeding. You will need to feed them three times a day, but make sure not to over feed. If feeding brine shrimp, you will see their stomach's turn orange and that will be the sign that they have had enough to eat. When first starting out, just go slow, feed a little at a time and watch, after doing this for a day or so you should be able to gauge how much to feed them.

Also cdfishie123, as far as raising anglefish fry, it can be hard at first. It took me a couple of years to get it right. The biggest thing IMO in raising angles is feeding fresh baby brine shrimp three times a day and doing a 50% water change once a day. You need to do this from the time they are free swimming until about 3 weeks, then you should be able to get them to take crushed flake.

leave the fry with the parents. they'll be fine for a while

focus on the injured angel for now

they are in a baby net now, the injured one is doing fine, I added a little melafix(which hasn't harmed the babies), and his eye is looking better.

neither can I(if they live..), they should have some nice colors, their moms are marble and gold, and the dad is gold.
