Might be clogged or the water is leveling out in the filter. Did you unplug your filter before you did a water change? If not unplug it then make sure it is full and clean and start it again.

Try taking the impellor out and clean it and the pump housing and try again. If that doesn't fix it then it is problay worn out.

Try pulling the intake tube out and checking for obstructions. You may also have to remove the impeller housing and clean it.Mine does this ocassionally and usually lifting the intake helps remove the air. The impeller should be cleaned monthly to insure proper function.

sounds like it needs to be cleaned. take it all apart and clean it. had ac filters for years havent had problems with them yet.

This happened to me yesterday when I did a water change in the discus tank. I just lifted the intake tube for a second or two and then put it back holding it down until all the water went up that tube and could see the flow of water coming through the filter again. I also noticed that sometimes after a water change the aquaclear filter on this tank makes some annoying noise but usually resolves itself in a little amount of time.

Glad you got it going...most of the time its a impeller problem or air bubbles.

cleaning every two weeks or so can keep more things from getting caught in the impeller, and improve water flow through the media
