I went into my LFS today to get some fish food. Of course I looked into some of the tanks while I was there and, "Hmmm, what are those"......... "Well dip my fanny in sweet cream and squat me in a kitchen full of kittens....those are ottos"!!!!!!!!!

I FINALLY GOT SOME OTTOS! 6 of them (in case I lose any).

Now all I have to work on is a couple of Siamese algae eaters.

Whats so special about Ottos? I hear everyone talk about them. Our local fish store sells tons of them. Am I missing out on something>?:confused:

I've been trying for along time to get ottos here where I live.......in the back woods where nothing ever happens. Well unless you have a kitchen full of kittens. ;)

hmmm...100 miles each way=200 miles. assume 20mi/gallon=10 gallons of gas. Assume $1.75/gallon.

cost you $17.50 just in traveling:) I'd just pay overnight delivery :D


Otos sure are cool though :) ..still need to get SAE's though :(

edit...could be 50miles each way...and gas could have only been 1.50 and you could have gotten 30mi/gallon. :p

Too bad you folks don't live in the DFW area, Boutique Pet Store has around 70 true SAEs, getting fat in a tank where no-one but me wants them (and I already got mine).

Hey Trashman. Only a hundred miles? If I want to buy SAEs I'm going to have to travel 250 miles including a $45.00 toll bridge. (PEI to the mainland)

I'm just happy to have gotten my ottos. They are cute little guys.

It wasn't like I went a 100 miles just for the fish. I had gone to my parents house and there is totally humungous fish store in Sacramento. I stop there every time I see my parents just because the place is SOOOOOO COOL:D

It's really not the looks. Real SAE's and Otto's always eat algae. My experience with CAE is they stop eating algae and get realy agressive after awhile.
