No... I'm not a fan of the horizontal DI chambers. They hold less DI resin than the 10" vertical chambers. Also, 100 gpd RO membranes have a lower rejection rate than RO membranes that are < 100 gpd.

i need cheap though ...im my tank is filled with just regular water....and i when im done cycling i wanna do the big change with good water...and im way to poor to afford one of these things ...and i tried finding used but its not looking good

A large water change will just set you back to square one. Use RO water from the water machine at the supper market or wal mart for now.

you are going to want to test your water for many things before you add anything take a sample to the LFS and ask them to test for things like Phosphorous and other trace minnerals.

If that's what you can afford, then it's better than using just tap water or paying for 1/4 of the unit's cost just to do that big water change with water bought from the LFS.

If you can hold off until you can spend $150 - $175, there's a lot more options out there from a variety of reputable and respected online retailers. I only say that because I've read many posts by people that bought cheaper units and struggle with them due to the relatively poor tap water quality they have. They end up spending more money to upgrade their cheaper unit only to have the total cost with upgrades exceed the cost of buying a better unit from the start. However, if you have really good tap water, it's likely that a cheaper RO/DI unit will do all that you need it to.

i ment the water change after my tank is cycled......u are supposed to do that right? at least 50% or something

I'm under the understanding that 50% is the max you should do. Even in my FW days I never did more than a 25% change at one time unless i had a major problem such as alge. Hey just my understanding i could be wrong but i'll never do more than that.
