Any ideas...just got some funds...and bout to pop down to my lfs to grab a heater and who knows what else :p but if say I was gonna start my 15gal up again whats a good cichlid to put in...maybe a few cons or i'm thinking more a ram I can set it up either way
But at the moment its got my gold severums feeder fish...which i hardly ever feed it to, and also a small 1.5" crayfish, maybe i should get rid of that?? and if you don't think I should get a cichlid and maybe go for a tropical or Australian fish like trout or bass somthing like that just tell me
1) suggest cichlid or
2) suggest no dont put cichlid or
3) tropicals
4) native fish (trout, bass, barra <--- ozzie barra grows as big or as small as you want it, minmun would be about 15gal yeah!)
5) others (wat i've missed)
but i'm leaning toward a cichlid of some sort...remember its a 15gal fully set up...thanks ppl
15 gallon is really only big enough for a single con if that. I would go with a pair of rams shellies, or apistos if I were going to do cichlids in a 15 gallon

A 15 gallon (is that US or UK gallons BTW) may be OK with kribs, actually probably would be OK if you can get a very young pair. A lot of folks recommend a 20 gallon tank, but unless you 15 is a high it should have the 24" length of a 20 high.
Other good choices would be rams, Nannacara anomala, most Apistos, L. curviceps or dorsiger, shell dwelling tanganyikans, or pair of dwarf julies (transcriptus, ornatus, etc...).
You've really got a world of options.
FWIW, I have a pair of kribs in a 20 long (they're been there all of 3 days now). Neat little fish. My male is a coward and hides all the time, but the female is so curious and is all over the tank exploring.

Went out looking for some rams today....couldn't find any....down the street there is tones of kribensis and i think i'll snatch me some of those...
as for length it is 24"
and about 1.5ft height....depth is ok..not too bad
Bought a thermostat today...for the 15gal got it on right now and i'm cleaning constantly...wow crayfish are dirty buggers got massive build ups of nitrates...cycling it through over a day, should be speckly clean by then end of that :)
and i think i'm using the US...not sure even if my tank is 15gal hmm and i'm not sure if my 3ft tank is 35gal....hmm
here are the dimensions for my so called "15gal" tell me what it really is...US i gather lots of americans here :)
24.5"x15"x12"

I think you've got a 15 gallon UK tank. The US ones are 24"x12"x12". In US gallons, you've probably got 18 which helps a bit with the bioload. The most important things is the bottom area, and I think you're fine for Kribs.
Like I said before, they're cool little fish. I'd go for it.
