Well, we got the tank today. It was very dirty. The guy we bought it from was keeping very large blood parrots and FW Angelfish in it. We cleaned it up some and are now running it with straight tap water to get the rest of the gunk out and kill the yuck in it. Had a lot of blue green algae. Once it has run with tap water for a couple of days, we will drain it and put in RO/DI salt water. The UV Sterilizer will go in the sump when we change it over to SW.

We have MTS (tanks, not snails) pretty bad - this is just one wall in the dining area. The one on the far left is semi-aggressive FW planted; the middle one is African Cichlids, and of course the one on the right is the new, soon to be, Reef tank.

:grinyes: and that is just 3 of our tanks - well, we only own 2 more, besides these three, right this sec... might buy a 49 bow front this next week. We are also "babysitting" our daughter's 15.

Yep We may have to drain and dry anyway to fix some of the scratches resulting from previous substrate removal. Then go with SW and live rock until cycled.

That african tank is badass! Love the background. Nice wall of tanks. Looks like you've got all the bases covered. :) Look forward to seeing the progress of your new salty.

Nice tank!
