Well my second fish within 6 months has jumped out of its tank in the middle of the night. This time it was large wild male oscar (part of a mating pair). I fed the couple last night and forgot to close the top - my girlfriend almost stepped on him as she walked by the tank. Anyway today lesson is always keep you tops closed boys and girls :(.

Oh Anton! I'm so sorry :( That truly sucks :(
When I moved I lost two of my Syno. angelicus. I had put lids on the tank, but it seems with the new cruising room of the 125 they were upgraded to, they could hit the tops hard enough to hit the floor anyway. What a terrible way to start your day :(

Sorry man, that really sucks, I know from experience. My friend once had an Oscar that jumped out of his tank and died too.
Speaking of jumping out of tanks, my unidentified catfish jumped out of the tank the other day and THANK GOODNESS I found him in time, I was gonna cry, luckily I put him bac and hes still recovering and making a great comeback.
Ya know, these **** fish, we spend all this money on food, tanks, filters, and they go and jump out!!! Stupid Fish! LOL!
