Hi there guy new here to your site. was browsin t'internet tryin to find out what is in my tank at the mo. got an invader! :eek3: It's a flat worm, not very big, about a centimetre and dull brown in colour. Saw them for the first time the other day, they onlyseem to like to come out in the dark then when the lights go on they move towards the bottom of the tank. Strange things! They have like an arrow shaped head and i haven't seen them swim yet. i no longer have any fish in my tank but i have got A LOT of snails in there, was wonderin if the snails are safe and if these wormy things can come out and kill me :uhoh:
Would like to here ur views on this if anyone can help me i would be v gratefull :bowing:
Marine tank? If so the white/clear ones are fine. The reddish ones are pests and you can use Flatworm exit but be careful, if you have plague numbers of them you'll want to remove as many as you can before using Flatworm Exit because of the toxins they'll give off when dying.
And no...they won't crawl out and kill you.
Come on over to the marine forum and tell us about your tank.

:welcome: Hope you find this site helpful. I had tiny clear worms in my freshwater tank a few years back but they're just a result of overfeeding. Won't hurt you. Not sure about marine ones though, but as suggested by Grins, you should post a question in whichever forum and you'll most likely get more and better answers.

sounds like a planaria to me... I'm thinking it's a freshwater site. If it's planaria, the tank is being over fed or the water changes need to be stepped up.
