Hello all,
I am possible going to be moving to a home that has a well. Is there anything I need to be concerned about with my 65 gal. freshwater tank? Any additives I should concider?
Second part of the question, any ideas/tips on making a safe move with a tank this size? I have aprox 40 small and large (Bala Sharks) stocked.
Thank you!

You'll have the well tested, as E.P.A. recommends, for your family's safety, right? Once you know about its alkalinity and the presence/absence of heavy metals-- iron, copper, etc-- then you'll have some ideas.

Letting well water stand for twenty-four hours, even with an airline in it, equalizes O2 and CO2 content with the atmosphere. Helps precipitate iron and manganese, if the well water is depleted in oxygen.

Well water isn't a universal entity in itself. Each well is different.

Like wetman said, every well is different, so theres no way in saying what you will have to add (if anything), etc. I use well water and I dont add anything to it.
