There were over 400 fish in this set alone

This was our best day of fishing. The fish hold was filled up, the overflow brailers were full, and we had to leave fish sitting on the deck. Over 9,000 pounds, which is roughly 1,800 sockeyes.

Wow that's really awesome! Nice to see those boats from "The Deadliest Catch."

Now are they fish used for consumption or for bait?

Both... kinda. The only fiah we catch are salmon(sockeyes mainly, with a few chums and a handful of kings) They are mainly used for food. The higher quality fish are frozen and flown next day to stores around the world. The bruised up fish have the bruises cut out and are used primarily for canning. The really badly beat up kings and sockeyes, as well as almost all of the chums, are used for crab bait, dog and cat food, ect.

I can't handle it either lol. The last week is killer, especially this year because the runs were so huge. We had 7 straight 21 hour work days, but they basically were 22-23 hour work days by the time you delivered your fish. During the extremely short time in between fishing you either eat or take a quick nap, no time for both. I'm still recovering and trying to get back on a normal sleeping schedule.

We didn't weight her, but we figure she was about 40-45 pounds.
