An on-line supplier, Reeftopia.com (I believe) sells 40 lbs of pond cured live rock for $160 which includes shipping. Since my new set up will require a lot of live rock this is tempting, but I am not sure what I must do to pond cured live rock. Might it be helpful in cycling the new set-up? Should I further cure it befor adding it to the new set-up? If so, how? My new set up will be 75 gallons. I will be using some of my sand from an existing tank to help the cycling. I will also use a Fluval filter that has been running on my existing set-up. Suggestions welcome, and thanks again for your other help.

Mostly, that will depend on how cured it is, how it ships, and how long it ships. Shipped wet, you shouldn't have much die-off, and would lose a lot in the course of your cycle. If it ships dry, and there's a lot of die-off, then you should be pretty good using it to cycle with. since you have a good seed already, I wouldn't add the rock until the nitrites are on the way down--if it spikes a bit, the bacteria will be in place to catch up quickly.

Gulf View (http://www.gulf-view.com) sells 30lbs for $133 and the reports of the condition upon arrival have been excellent. The price is almost the same, $4/lb for the rock you suggest, $4.43/lb for the Gulf View, but the hitch hikers on the GV rock always make it a worthwhile purchase.
