Need help with plants to choose for 10gl DIY CO2 Tank...

I have alot of plants in mind but truley I can only choose a few and only the best which could survive for my 10gl planted tank.
The plant stats of the tank are, the water is usually medium-hard
KH is low but will rise due to me adding crushed coral from my DIY CO2 if needed.
PH is ranged 6.0-7.5

You know it would be much easier if you just typed in the names of the plants instead of just a bunch of links.


The first most critical thing in choosing plants is light rather than C02, and you don't say what your light is...how much of it you have. Stem plants generally require the most light. The plants that need the least amount of light are Anubias, ferns, mosses, and some Cryps.

I have a Coral life 15 watt bulb.

Agree with Robert. You have 1.5 watt/gal. or a "low/moderate" lighting condition. Choose your plants from that category when reading the conditions that you see on the plant sites.
Javas, anubias and crypts will do well in those conditions. pH is really not that critical for most plants.....lighting is.
You might check his site. It is well respected for it's quality and information.

ok, i think I have my mind set on what im going to buy now that I know PH really isint a factor and light and CO2 is. Im going to buy the "12 low light assortment" off of aquariumplants.com. Pretty good deal if you ask me :)
