We use artificial plants in our's along with the rock for fry cover - works great and looks great!!!

Well, that will work :) we are kinda breeding cichlid, for our own edification - we have at least 6 electric yellow fry and 2 electric blue fry right now. we are sure there are probably more blues, and there should be some Julidochromis Regani fry as well, but we haven't seen any yet

do you get alot of hybrids breeding mbunas, dont they normally inter-breed

so far we haven't, but since we are just breeding for ourselves, it doesn't really matter. they do interbreed quite readily, or so we are told. We are not planning on selling or everngiving away any of the fry. we actually plan on more and large cichlid tanks. we are actually quite interested in finding out what kind of mixing we might get.

i think its cool getting hybrids although alot of people disagree if i had a bigger tank i would breed and keep the hybrids i think they are great:):)

that is looking great ! excellent job !

Try and have nice 'loose' stacked piles so there is still passages/tunnels/caves in them for the fish to pass through.
