Hello all,
My name is Nick and I'm about 6 weeks into this. I went about cycling the tank the wrong way...I didn't know what I was doing, but with the help of an additive and some hearty Platys, my 20 gallon is doing very good. I have had a good bacterial bloom about 2 weeks ago that cleared up and all my readings are good.
My tank is fully stocked with 3 platys, 4 julii corys, 2 green corys and 6 zebra danios. I do 25% water changes at least once a week and use Algone as a preventive against another bloom. I keep the water around 75*. I don't have any live plants, but I'm interested in getting some. I might try experimenting in a new 10 gallon to see how things go.
