A lot of members here have nicknames for their members ID. I thought it would make us more of a community if people knew each other's first name. So tell us your name! And a fact about you, that will help people recognize you better (doesn't have to be aquarium related).
I'll start.

I have a 24G Aquapod tank which I plan to turn into a reef tank. This is my first SW tank.

One guess, no prizes, My Name is Nick McMechan.

The clan originates from Ayrshire in the Southwest of Scotland, but mostly emigrated to Ireland about 800-900 years ago, so the name is common in the North of that Island.

Not all Clans have their own tartans so mines comes under the chieftan clans of Carrick and Galloway, I wear the Hunting Carrick tartan.

The Carrick family have hostorical relations with another clan of Scottish origin - the Kennedy's (JFK and all that)

MY Wife is from the Cummings, a clan that historically has feuded with the Kennedys!!!!

I really thought your name was Mee-Mee. I dunno it just sounds easy to pronounce and fun too. Can't be that bad turning 40, can it?

P.s., if it helps, there's a rumor around that "40 is the new 20" lol

I run a homeless shelter and substance abuse program for women and chilren in Indio, Ca. We are also a designated "Safe-at'home" shelter; providing immediate and safe shelter for abused and sexually assaulted women.

Sicklidfan is my fiancee, Steve. (We are going to make it legal in September, but we already call each other hubby and wifey) :hearts:

We have 5 tanks right now - :dance:
5 hex = platy farm and AFD tank (platys are feeders for the cichlids, so they don't stay there too long)
20 heavily planted = community tank, and refuge for best platy fry - DIY CO2
37 tall = semi-aggressive community, low light plants
55 Rift Lakes = cichlid community tank
55 tall SW = cycling - will be reef tank

That's not counting Fawn's 15 gal goldfish/platy tank :goldfish:

I'm married with a 6 mo. old (married to a 29 y.o, not to an a 6 mo.) and manage a Ben Moore paint store in Chicago. Also I am a mortgage loan officer (wanna re-fi?), so life is a little busy...

I have 5 tanks up and running....
2 different betta tanks

a 2.5g planted tank with no fish or inverts due to high heat with the light

a 10g planted glo-light tank

a 29g planted that will be soon switched to a 55g so i can hook the 29g in to a 80g discus tank I'll be setting up soon.

I'm 21 and am in college in a sorority, so I live away from my aquariums.
At my "home," we've had freshwater tanks ever since I was born.
Now, we have a 55 gallon community tank and 29 gallon reef tank.
Soon to come...a monster aquarium.
I come home on the weekends to mess around with them.

I am julie, JULZ to most people, I have two wonderful kids, 6yo daughter, and 4YO son, I am 28, if I must honestly tell. I coach cheer leading, I am the treasurer for my local branch, F.O.E. I am also the head of the fund raising committee, and the holiday parties. I have 18 tanks up, I am downsizing:), lol. I am engaged and he hates my fish:( , lol.. I love to paint, draw, and do just about anything creative, I want to drive on the ICE ROADS at least once, I worked for the carnival for 13 years, I love to talk, and I live in central PA. Geez...seems like I haven't been here in yrs. I was the one who started this thread, its nice to find out so many peoples names.

Update; My name's still Yuri (some say it's Russian, others say it's Japanese) However, I am Brazilian, live in Woodbridge, VA.
