can anyone tell me if you can successfully keep electric yellows and electric blues together in a 240 lt tank

In a harem situation, it would be fine. You could add another species too....3 species in groups of 1M:3F would be the ideal stocking...

make sure there is plenty of rockwork in the tank. it provides caves, and caves help lower aggression levels.

Yes, absolutely, subject to the general proviso with africans that you may get a maniac who has to be moved out. Stock 1 male per 4 or so females.

You can do just the labs/johanni or you can add a couple more groups in the same ratio. Check www.cichlidforum.com (http://www.cichlidforum.com) for some excellent profiles and stocking suggestions.

Go for it..just have plenty of hidey holes and the right M/F ratio.
